mai.n bhool jaauu.N ab yahi munaasib hai
magar bhulanaa bhi chaahuu.N to kis tarah bhuloon
ki tum to phir bhi haqeeqat ho koi Khuaab nahi
yahaa.N to dil ka ye aalam hai kya kahoon kamabaKht
bhula sakaa na ye silasila jo tha hi nahi
vo ik Khayaal jo awaz tak gaya hi nahi
vo ek baat jo mai.n keh nahi saka tum se
vo ek rabt vo hum mein kabhi raha hi nahi
mujhe hai yaad vo sab jo kabhi hua hi nahi
agar ye haal hai dil ka to koi samajhaae

My dear friend Tahira.. and other 'non-desis' lol.. here's a rough translation for this urdu poem. The poetry is ruined when u translate and so much is lot in translation..one of my friend's volunteered to do this.. so enjoy:
It is better now that I forget you
But how will I be able to forget you
Because you are a reality and not a dream
My simple heart is in such a state that
It cant forget the things which never happened
The thoughts which never got a voice
The one thing i couldnt tell you
The connection which we never had
I can remember all that which never happened
